After only opening in 2025, The Social Bar, a small bar and cafe in Suffolk in the UK’s east, has built quite a reputation for itself, particularly within the arts and culture scene in the region.  They work with small-scale wine producers, brewers and roasters who take a thoughtful, sustainable approach to their produce, letting the seasons and time-honoured methods guide what they make.

Regularly hosting talks, screenings and workshops with artists from varying backgrounds and disciplines, we were asked to give a talk and Q&A about Orchestra of Samples as part of their series of artists presentations, which had recently included the incredibly talented British sculpture Laurence Edwards. 

Screening behind the scenes footage of our field recording sessions, telling the stories behind many of our samples and explaining how we create our work, the place was full of very enthusiastic audience members who kept asking great questions, it could have lasted all night!

Was nice to read their social posts the next day “through film, storytelling and discussion, we were taken behind the scenes of one of the most inventive music projects of recent years. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such an engaging evening. We hope you left as inspired as we did.”
