It’s the summer of the long heatwave!
The last 2018 UK tour gigs before the summer break saw us perform Orchestra of Samples in the UK towns of Milton Keynes at the IF: Milton Keynes International Festival with Dame Evelyn Glennie, in Horsham where 2018 BBC Young Musician of the Year finalist Toril Azzalini-Machecler joined us and in Harwich at the Harwich Festival of the Arts, performing in one of the oldest cinemas in the world, the beautiful Electric Palace built in 1911 (we also happen to be the last artists to perform there, as it’s now undergoing a huge restoration).
There’s been a fair bit of press before and after the gigs, including the Essex Rocks site who chose us as their top pick for the Harwich Festival, the Daily Gazette in Essex who wrote this piece with the splendid title of “Electric Palace hosts mixing genius of duo Addictive TV” and The County Times in West Sussex who gave us a glowing review saying “Music when done properly is the most effective way of uniting people through art which is something that was well and truly achieved in Horsham“.
And during the Milton Keynes International Festival (the photo at the top of the page) where profoundly deaf world renowned percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie performed with us, BBC Three Counties Radio also interviewed us live at the festival site – here’s the interview below…
…and here’s a short Facebook live video from the festival after our rehearsals with Dame Evelyn…
