Album release 2nd June…

Yes, it’s no secret we’re finally releasing an album of Orchestra of Samples! In the last six months we’ve let out little snippets of news bit by bit, but now we can tell everyone that the release date is 2nd June 2017 for CD, vinyl and digital.

We signed with the German label !K7 for worldwide distribution, who are most known for their DJ Kicks series of releases since the early 90’s. Production of the final album was done in Paris, with the brilliant producer and engineer Jérôme Caron (aka the artist Blackjoy) and the cover artwork is by the awesome South African printmaker and artist Anna Alcock, hand carving her entire design out of lino.

We kick off a 12-date UK tour for the album on May 5th in Hull for an event organised by The Museum of Club Culture, as part of the city’s Capital of Culture 2017 celebrations. The album launch night is June 8th in London at the Courtyard Theatre followed by dates in Sheffield, Norwich, Leeds, Newcastle and others till October – including the Bowers & Wilkins Stage at WOMAD 2017 and the mainstage at Shambala Festival 2017 in August!  We’ll also be joined by guests musicians from the project, playing live with us.

We want to massively thank everyone who’s supported us and believed in the project over the years, and helped make it happen, particularly all the wonderfully talented musicians who took part! Please explore the blog to find out more about them all.
